Subject:win95 help files suddenly don't work under NT 4.0 From:Melissa Fisher <mfisher -at- AUTOMATEDLOGIC -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 3 Mar 1999 16:10:09 -0500
Anyone have any idea what would make a winhelp file suddenly stop working under
NT? Our test engineer has just come to us saying that he's getting a message
that he needs a "newer help file", whatever that means.
The help files were created in Robohelp 5.5/6.0. One of the files was recently
updated, but the only change made was to a paragraph of text. The other file has
not changed since the app was last tested under NT (at which time it worked).
These are pretty straightforward plain vanilla help files with no fancy-schmancy
bells and whistles; one of them has a macro that creates a button on startup. I
tend to think something in the app must be causing the problem, but that is what
*I* would say, isn't it? Anyone see this before or have any suggestions?
