Symbol Technologies, Inc. develops scanner and terminal products for data capture applications.
A contract Technical Writer is needed to document API source material from software engineers into
System Developer's Guides.
Qualifications:
Must reside in the NYC/Long Island vicinity and be able to
attend meeting at our facility in Holtsville, Long Island.
Gather information by talking with software engineers and reading software specifications.
Must be able to take APIs developed by software engineers and convert into clear and concise
text.
Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Visual Basic) a must.
Strong Adobe FrameMaker skills.
Amount of work varies throughout the year with each project running approx. 2 to 3 months.
Salary:
$25 - $45/per hour depending upon experience.
