I've pulled some interesting snippets from this ridiculous thread, which has
been very big on opinion, very small on fact.

George Beinhorn says:

KO says: If you need a book for learning HTML, how can you possibly have a
valid opinion on whether FP creates "bad" HTML?

From: Tracy Boyington
>I'm not sure anyone has said FrontPage creates invalid HTML. What it
>*does* create is really crappy HTML that gives wildly different results
>on different browsers, while making the novice user think that what you

HTML is a standard. "Crappy" can only describe something that does not
conform to the standard. Ergo, because FP creates standard HTML, it cannot
be described as "crappy." Find a different argument.

From: Scott Miller
>Front page is a great tool for some things, but not for others. Like most

KO say: Now that's crappy.

Scott Miller continues ...

></li>
><li>

></li>

At least FP has made an attempt to turn bad code into standard code.

Scott Miller also says ...
>In addition, FrontPage will let you use HTML tags that are not standard
HTML
>(as defined by the W3C), and not FrontPage Extensions, but are tags that

I'd agree that FP will let you use nonstandard HTML if you enter it
yourself. I do challenge, you, however, to get FP to generate the same
nonstandard code using menus, etc.
