HTML Help Workshops
HTML Help (2 days)
Learn to create and compile a simple help project in our HTML Help Workshop.
This class covers the framework of an HTML help project, which includes
learning to add files to your project, defining windows, adding a search
tab, and using Active X controls. Design concepts, such as window design,
font usage, and other visual interface issues, are included. Attendees
should have some familiarity with HTML.
RoboHELP HTML Edition (2 days)
Create and compile a simple HTML project in the standard tri-pane design.
Learn about the RoboHELP HTML Edition interface, the compiler, editor, and
how to import HTML files into your project. Add new topics, create
hyperlinks, popups, related topics, image hyperlinks, index entries, and
more. Use style sheets to shape the look of your project.
Windows Online Help
RoboHELP Classic Edition, Level One (1 and 2 day classes)
Create an online help project, add jumps, popups, graphics, and more. Learn
to build an index, table of contents, insert "see also" buttons, and
understand context-sensitive help. Understand debugging errors, assigning
window sizes, and other design-related concepts. Use the latest version of
this popular online help authoring tool to build a realistic online help
system.

In the two-day class, we spend more time on each subject and acquaint you
with RoboHELP Office Tools, design tips, and much more.
RoboHELP Classic Edition - Advanced (1 and 2 day classes)
Advance your skills in building online help projects. Use the latest version
of RoboHELP Classic to master design concepts involving font usage, color
choices, resolution, and window sizing. Work with macros to add items to
menus, add custom buttons, and implement other customization options into
your help project. Practice enhancing a complex help project involving
multiple documents. Add Web links, use shortcut buttons to open other
applications, and add functionality to a realistic help project.
Project Management
Documentation Project Management (1 day)
Managing documentation projects can be a challenge, whether you work for a
large company or run your own business. This one-day class covers how to
manage projects by making the best use of the time, money, techniques, and
people available to you.

Learn to plan, budget, and schedule projects. Become a pro at integrating
the five phases of project management. Gain tools and techniques for
estimating time requirements, and streamlining methods to reduce project
scope. You will learn how to create writing, testing, and production plans.
During class, you will create the planning documentation for a small project
after learning to manage documentation projects.
Not a computer class.
Project Management for Non-writers (1/2 day)
This class teaches scoping skills for the novice project manager. Understand
why some projects don't meet their goals, why others succeed. Learn simple
formulas for cost estimating and how to perform the general steps required
to define, execute, control, evaluate, and close your project. Not a
computer class.
Time Management
Time Management (1/2 day)
This workshop helps you focus on what's important. Develop skills to
accomplish more with the time you have every day. Work more effectively, and
live more harmoniously by implementing what you learn.
Not a computer class.

Word Skills Improvement
Enhancing Your Microsoft Word Skills (1/2 day)
Master the power of Microsoft Word! Learn to use styles and templates, OLE
graphics, and headers and footers to create sophisticated documents. This
class goes beyond teaching simple word skills, and enhances your existing
knowledge. Attendees should know how to navigate in Word, save documents,
and to perform simple formatting tasks.

Writing Concepts
Writing Online Documentation (1 day)
Whether you write for the Web or for online help, certain concepts apply to
both environments. Learn about information and user interface design for
online development, as well as the effective use of graphics. Organize and
tighten your writing to overcome screen limitations. Engage users with
visual variety and selective interaction. Understand color, resolution,
fonts, and what specific user interface problems need to be addressed when
you are writing online.
