In my experience as a trainer, not only is it gruelling for the instructor
to teach an 8 hour day, but it also wears on the students. It is nearly
impossible to hold the attention of the group for that long even if you are
an incredibly dynamic speaker, take many breaks and include exercises,
discussions, etc.

Seven hours is a little more manageable, but make sure you devote a lot of
time to breaks. This gives the instructor a chance to double check notes,
get some water, get off his/her feet, and also gives the students a chance
to reflect on some of the information that was already presented.
