Laurie's viewpoint wasn't that military people were rigid and inflexible; her
viewpoint was that *some companies might (right or wrong) make that
assumption*.

From your experience, it certainly sounds like that assumption would be
*wrong* -- but companies do make wrong assumptions all the time.
