I suggest to replace with a space instead...

Just Find and Replace will work fine in most cases.
1. copy the hard return from the test and copy it in the find dialog box
(in most cases e.g. in Framemaker you will see a \p then)
2. replace int with a space
3. Repeat the procedure in replacing double-spaces bij one space now.
4. You're are finished
