Hi,
On November 4, the Society of Technical Communication is having their
Region 4 Conference here in Columbus, Ohio. This all-day event
on Saturday presents an array of wonderful speakers on a variety of
topics. There is a section about working with SMEs
(subject-matter-experts), and how to assist in organizing them and their
material for your project. I co-developed a process that has
successfully helped the new technical communicators and/or business
analysts who are new to working with managing all types of documentation.
This methodology is
based on ISO 9000 document processes.
Professions this presentation is for -
technical writing/communications, business management, auditors, legal,
medical and scientific, industry, government, and marketing
communications.
Basically, this is for anyone who has to gather information from another
source.....this is a wonderful survival process in which you live to tell
about it.
Contact the web site below and look for the SME 101 course. Please edit
this release as needed for your newsletters or listservs. Thank you in
advance.
