Subject:THANKS: Word97 linking to graphics From:Mark Magennis <markmagennis -at- YAHOO -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 9 Oct 1998 03:38:35 -0700
Thanks to all who responded to my question about Word97 file size when
linking to graphics.
Nearly everyone quite rightly warned me not to select "Save with
document". But I already knew that. Tests revealed that the problem
wasn't occuring with other templates, so I tried removing everything
bit by bit - the graphic, the text, even the macros and document
properties. Ended up with a completely empty 800K template!
Since then I've created a new 'identical' template from scratch and it
work's fine, so I really don't know how it had got into the state it
was in. Perhaps another MS Word bug.
