Framers and Techwrlers,
I received this email regarding my question yesterday (on the
FrameUsers list) regarding going from Frame into RoboHELP. Now that I
know what tools are out there to help me, MIF2RTF and the Quadralay
product, (thank you for all the replies) can anyone out there give me
some insight, like Bradd's below, on your experience actually making
this conversion? We haven't done it before and we're curious about what
to expect from the process.
My advice is, if your docs are in Frame, DON'T EVEN THINK OF USING
ROBOHELP!!! Unless, of course, you'd enjoy reformatting the entire
document
and get a big thrill out of maintaining and updating two versions of
your
material. I use WebWorks Publisher from Quadralay. It is NOT user
friendly
and the help file is truly useless, but the tech support is great and
once
you figure it out the hideous interface, you really can convert from
print
to online in a few easy steps.
