This may be too vague to be useful, but within the last year, one of the
STC pubs (I think it was Technical Communication, but it may have been
Intercom) had a whole issue devoted to "Value-Added Technical
Communication." Check on the STC site at www.stc-va.org or give them a
call. They sell back issues if they're in stock, and they can search the
archives for you.
