2 possibilities I can think of:

1. Your machine is not fast enough to run Acrobat and ScreenCam
recording at the same time. I have had a number of problems caused by
this (though with other applications, not Acrobat) and using the
fastest machine I can lay my hand on has sometimes been a solution.

2. Your monitor (or more correctly your computer's video card) is not
fully compatible with Lotus ScreenCam. Again, I have had a number of
problems caused by this, with both '97 and 'NT versions of ScreenCam.
Sometimes there are visible glitches on scrollbars and other controls,
sometimes nothing at all gets recorded or a load of garbage. I suspect
it depends on the extent of the incompatibility. Try to find out what
video cards ScreenCam97 is compatible with and whether you have one of
them.
