Responsibilities include researching, writing, reviewing and editing online
and printed documentation; designing, creating, and maintaining product
demos, product tutorials, and product samples; researching and implementing
improved options for information delivery and user education; serving on
and/or leading various cross-functional teams, including interface design,
product usability, and product collateral teams; and participating in
various communication projects, including Internet and Intranet development.
The individuals we seek will obviously have solid writing skills, but they
must also have a high aptitude, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to
learn and succeed. Candidates must be comfortable with and able to thrive
in the ever-changing, fast-paced world of technology. Additionally, we want
people who can quickly comprehend technical concepts, who can communicate
clearly, and who will grow to become leaders in our organization. Ideally,
candidates should be flexible, self-motivating, assertive, organized, and
creative. They should also be detail oriented and able to manage a
technical project from conception to completion. While we do not require a
specific type of experience, possession of the following skills or a strong
desire to learn them is helpful:
* Familiarity with business intelligence and/or data warehousing solutions
* Project management experience
* Experience creating software documentation or training materials
* Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp,
and PaintShop Pro
* Experience with HTML and/or Internet technology such as JAVA
