We attach a template to all our controlled documents that includes a
macro that goes out to a specified drive and inserts the company logo
(which is in .gif format) into the header. This has worked fine up
until now since everyone runs on the Win95 version of Word.
Here's the rub, though. Now some folks have been switched to Office 97.
Now when they open the documents the header gets blown up in size and
instead of the logo there is an empty image frame that is about four
times the size of the .gif image file.
Any suggestions? I know the new version did not always correctly
recognize Word drawings that were made in older versions but I don't
know why it would do it with a .gif file image?
