Does anyone know how to prevent Word95 documents which have the
"Automatically Update Document Styles" box checked, from doing this when
they are opened? Is there a way to disable this attribute without opening
the document in Word?
I now realize that I should have never enabled this "helpful" little feature
in the first place; but I have quite a few documents with this feature
enabled. It is causing grief as legacy documents are opened for editing only
to have their formatting blow up because the current template doesn't exist
or has been modified.
Searches through the MS Support Online website and the Wordtips Newsletter
haven't turned up any information.
thanx,
David Neufeld
