Subject:Re: Screen Captures in Frame From:Scott Wahl <swahl -at- BRIDGEWATERSYS -dot- COM> Date:Thu, 27 Aug 1998 09:21:54 -0400
Hi Suzette,
I'm doing this using the following process:
1. Use Alt+Print Scrn to take the screen shot.
2. Paste the screen shot into Paint (comes for free with Windows). Save as a
bitmap.
3. Setup a directory structure something like this:
Document
Frame
Graphics
4. Put all your bitmaps into the graphics folder (and your Frame files into the
Frame folder).
5. Import the bitmaps by reference into your Frame documents. (Importing by
reference keeps the Frame file size down and lets you update screen shots without
re-importing them.)
6. Scale the bitmap as required in Frame. (This is important: I've found scaling
the graphic before importing into Frame loses seriously degrades the graphic
quality.)
If you ever have to publish documents on the Web, you can always run your bitmaps
through something like DeBabbelizer Pro to batch convert them to GIF.
Hope this helps. Contact me off-line if you'd like more information.
