. . . an industry leader in practice management software development, is
looking for a highly motivated results-driven professional to fill the
position described below:

Position Description: Technical Communications Specialist

Scope of Responsibility
Implement documentation plan for next release of product (1999) that
includes update of 1365-page user manual (hard copy and online);
introduction of online help into our product; formulation of a standards
document that outline the processes/procedures that impact every
activity performed in our Technical Communications department;
formulation of tech notes; preparation of miscellaneous marketing
materials. Must be able to digest a product functional specification,
then envision, write, validate, and edit required documentation, and
manage delivery of final documentation via DocuTech and Adobe Acrobat.
Our product is complex. It will require a passion for detail, a serious
communicator, and excellent layout and formatting skills.

Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality materials;
excellent writing/editing skills; good graphic design abilities.
* Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe PageMaker,
and RoboHelp.
* Familiar with Information Mapping documentation methodology.
(optional)
* Past experience as course instructor or teacher would be
beneficial.
* Years of experience: 2-5 years
* Education: Related Degree
