Another Acronym question

I still have a tendency to pronounce SQL by spelling it out, as opposed
to saying the equivalent of sequel. Which is the more common
pronunciation out there?

a SQL Server
an SQL Server

Microsoft seems to avoid the issue by never using a preposition before
SQL Server. Please respond to me privately at the address below. I'll
post a summary of results to the list. Thanks!
