I have inherited a Word document that consists of a 39 page outline,
complete with Roman numerals, letters, numbers, etc. This document was
originally created in WordPerfected, then imported to Word, then handed to
me. The text of this outline is color-coded; sometimes the color applies
to an entire paragraph, sometimes to just a sentence in a paragraph. But
some of the paragraph numbers have the wrong color; for example, a green
paragraph has a red number.
The best I can figure is that Word thinks the numbers are autonumbers,
because I can't select and edit the number directly. If I go in to change
the color of the autonumber, it changes the color of all the numbers in the
list, when I only want to change the color of one number. I've tried
turning off autonumbers, but that doesn't seem to work either, I guess
because the numbers are already there. (I am not adding any new text.)
All I need to do to this document is get a PostScript file to our printer,
but I would like the numbers to have the right colors. I really need this
done fast; please please please can anyone help me?
