I think the simple answer to that is "Yes". This is a large, complex app. and at different stages all of those things will vary.

I've gone with context-sensitive.

I do that to, but what I'm trying to do is document someone else's app, for
which they have different toolbars, buttons etc., available depending on
the screen or applet being used. Does that make them context sensitive
toolbars? How about screen dependent toolbars? It's the adjective that
I'm looking for, not a work method.

As context-sensitive is to Help, what is to toolbars? If different
toolbars are available for different windows, screens or applets, are they
described as context-sensitive, screen sensitive, or something else?
