I read recently (I believe it was in Computer Currents) that
in the next version of the OS Apple is abandoning Apple Guide in favor of
HTML help. (This is Mac OS 8+, not Rhapsody or whatever it's being
called nowadays.)

Of course, Apple has a long track record of changing their mind
about development plans, but I think it would be worth trying to
find out more about this if you have to do some kind of online help
for the Mac.
