Dunno if this helps, but if you're using the "PDF Maker" tool, the adobe
web site has this to say (from
<http://www.adobe.com/supportservice/custsupport/SOLUTIONS/b832.htm>)...
===============================
I have a color image like a logo in my Word file. When I create a PDF
file, the logo has been converted from color to grayscale. I've tried all
the Distiller and Compression options, but it always comes out gray.
Your PostScript printer driver is converting the image to grayscale because
you have a black-
and- white printer. Select the Use Distiller Assistant's driver/Force color
images option in the Creation options group of the General tab.
