Those who find Illustrator, Corel Draw, and the like to be bloated and Word
Draw too wimpy should investigate Visio Technical or Visio Technical
Professional. It's a vector tool with lots of nice features, including snap
and glue to various points on objects, extensive connector-ends, and all
the bells and whistles you could want for line and fill styles. I use it
almost daily, mostly for DFDs, entity-relationship diagrams, fern diagrams,
and org charts. You can even use some of the template objects as decent
clipart. On another list, somebody trashed the product, but most users love
it.

I have no relationship with Visio, except as a satisfied user of its
products.
