Is this why Word 97 crashes when I try to save a one-page graphic-laden
file down to Word 7.0 or Word 6.0 format?

If I take the graphic out and save it using WordDraw or some other
application such as Paint, can I then save the Word 97 file as Word 6.0 and
reinsert the graphic? I'm going to try that anyway. I have a series of 30
pages in a graphic-heavy user guide that were created in Word97. I want to
be able to print out copies from the Word 6.0 program I have at home for
work samples, if necessary. Lots of work, but I don't want to have to keep
photocopying samples, or e-mail copies to folks who can't open them in
older versions of Word.

Thanks. ... off to experiment ... check back with you in a while ...
