In my opionion, using Word 97 as a graphics database is like using a shoe
to serve soup: it might work, but I wouldn't want to drink it. Or do you
eat soup?

I'd suggest to your client that she use a graphics browser like those
found on CD ROM image banks and keep the images as jpeg files. Not only
is it a more effecient use of storage space, but should would still be
able to OCR text later if need be.
