I'm a little late chiming in on this thread -- but before you give
away your old versions, make sure your new versions will install on a
new system without it.
I'm forever (not really, but it seems that way sometimes) installing a
new hard drive or reformatting an existing hard drive. Some copyright
control requires that an old copy of the product be installed to
enable installation of the new version (esp. for upgrades).
I've also found that sometimes old versions do some things better than
new versions (for example, I've had better luck bringing CGMs into
Corel 4 than into Corel 8).
Yep, you're right -- I've got way too much old software hanging around
the office. But every so often you need one of those puppies . . .
