The job description is as follows:
Position Title: Technical Writer (Temp to Hire Position)
Responsibilities: Write requirements documents, technical
specifications, system user guides, produce electronic and print user
documentation, work with IS management and staff to update documentation
standards, manage document storage, manage publication process, create
and manage graphics required to supplement documentation, carry out
documentation requirements/deliverables to completion, create and
conduct acceptance and usability testing, assist in determining
requirements specific to documentation.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, English,
journalism, communications, or related experience; knowledge of two of
the following three operations systems: Windows NT, Windows 95 or 97,
and UNIX environment; proficient in PC usage; working knowledge of some
of the following: Word, Pagemaker, HTML, PowerPoint, Visio, or RoboHelp;
telephony background is recommended; familiarity with multimedia and
graphic tools is desired.
