I just applied this information from John, and created a .pdf file not
longer after. To my surprise some of my page layout went odd in the .pdf
file. After stuffing about a bit I ended up turning off the options John
mentioned and now the .pdf file is okay. I was surprised these options
were the cause of my problem and really couldn't find anything else that
could have caused it. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Sonja,
My docs have the same layout whether printed directly from Word or
converted to PDF. Make sure you have the lastest version of Acrobat
(3.0.1) some printing problems were fixed in it.
