Peter,

I tried using a frameset in the default HTML Help window (I split the
standard topic pane into two, a "top" and "bottom"). Although I was
able to get the frameset to compile, I had some trouble making it
"stick": even though I designated my frameset as the default help topic,
and I targeted hyperlinks and TOC entries to a specific frame, the
frameset would occasionally disappear and I'd be left with the default
window. So frames seem to be problematic in HTML Help. I decided not
to use the frameset (mostly for design reasons), so that's the end of my
story. But if you can post more details--maybe some HTML--someone may
be able to help. You might also try posting to the WINHLP-L list, if
you haven't already. See http://www.documentation.com for more info on
that.
