I occasionally use Streamline from Adobe to convert scanned line art and
other images to vector format. The default extension for this converted
file is ".art".
If your file _is_ from Streamline, it will be one of a few different file
formats;
I save them in an Adobe Illustrator format (an early version) and then open
them in Freehand for modification. You may be able to open the file in any
app that can utilize Illustrator files. Other formats that Streamline will
save include .pict and .dxf format.
