For a full-featured timer solution, see www.timeslips.com and look at
their Timeslips product. It's been a few years since I used it, but
even back then it was pretty slick. You can track multiple
jobs/clients, and it has excellent report-generating capablities. You
specify the job/client, click the start/stop button, and the program
keeps track of everything else.
I used it while working on staff as a copy writer for an advertising
agency. It's not cheap (relatively speaking)--lists at $179.00 for a
personal copy.
