Bill is correct about your chair being a major cause of wrist
discomfort. Based on recommendations from a company-hired ergonomics
consultant, I did the following and had a great improvement:
1. I lowered my chair so that the tops of my thighs were parallel to
the floor when my feet were flat on the ground.
2. I adjusted my lumbar support so my spine was properly aligned and I
wasn't leaning forward, backward or to the side.
3. I lowered my keyboard tray so I can sit with my arms bent, my elbows
positioned at the side of my body, and reach the keyboard with my arms
horizontal to the ground.
4. I bought (well, the company bought) a nice wide keyboard tray with
wrist support built in all across the front.
5. I moved my mouse from the desktop down to the keyboard tray so
everything was on the same level.
These changes have kept me pain free for the past year - and, boy, am I
glad!
