Yes, linewraping problems are very common, e.g. ...
- when reading e-mails, e.g. mailing list mails.
- when transferring text from an e-mail to a word processor. This is
sometimes needed when telecommuting or when doing contract work in
case there are problems with attaching files.
- when printing ReadMe.txt type text files.
Just for fun I wrote a small programme in Visual Basic 3 to solve
that problem + the problem with reading the =FC type codes (=FC is u
umlaut). After a lot of adjustments, it worked fine, and I now use it
daily, mainly for reading mailing list e-mails (especialy the German
mailing lists have many difficult-to-read mails.) Some of my friends
saw it, liked it, and got a copy.
I then decided to make it a shareware programme called TrimTXT.
