Technical Writer
WRQ makes software for connecting and managing personal computers on
corporate networks. We are currently looking for an independent,
self-directed professional to work with our Reflection for IBM product team.
Technical writers at WRQ work closely with developers, other writers,
editors, localizers, and our technical publishing staff to produce
high-quality print and online software documentation. The work environment
is challenging and fast-paced; writers participate in a variety of tasks
during the software development process, and performance standards are high.
The successful candidate will have:
3+ years technical writing experience
Excellent writing and editing skills
Experience creating WinHelp-style online help
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ability to adapt to evolving products and technologies
Most WRQ documentation is aimed at the corporate IS manager and is highly
technical. The successful candidate will be able to learn technical products
quickly. Knowledge of 32-bit PC operating systems, data communications and
transports, and networking products is desirable.
