Hello Miark,

I haven't been able to respond to your problem earlier, though I have sympathised in cyperspace for you!

Convert your graphics to .eps files before you import them into Word. By the time you've distilled them and printed your .pdf file, they should still look reasonably okay when printed on a PCL printer. Depending on how you do the conversion, you might or might not be able to view your graphics in the word document. I used Paint Shop Pro and found the ".eps color no preview" resulted in the best print outs. ".eps color preview" was shocking!

But then again, as you have access to a PS printer, you probably won't need to bother with the .eps conversion unless your files will be going to someone who might have only a PCL printer.

I struggled with your same problem for weeks and the eps solution has made me 90% happy. Now I just need to know how I can get the graphics to look okay on the screen in Exchange without having to view them at 200%. Got an answer for that one?:-)

You all recall that last week I couldn't get Exchange to print graphics
correctly. Well, I've just stumbled onto something. In Exchange I changed
from a PCL driver to the PS driver (the printer is PS compatible), and it
printed fine. I don't understand this--what does Exchange care what printer
I use?

I dunno. I'll continue to experiment.

If any one can shed some light on this phenomenon, I'd appreciate it.

Mike
