Telecommuting?

Judy Fraser is thinking of a <<telecommuting job between
Calgary and Nova Scotia>>, and asked for advice.

I haven't done this before, but the obvious gotcha is how
often they'll expect you to be in the office for meetings.
If you can come to a very clear (WRITTEN!!!) understanding
about how often they'll really need you to show up, or
whether they'll let you substitute telephone calls, then
the rest is probably details you already know (you
mentioned you'd done this before).
