Internships that don't pay are all too common. But, from what I've
heard, a lot that do pay underpay rather badly.
I guess my trouble is that I tend to view work as a reciprocal
situation. When I take a job, I owe certain obligations to the employer.
However, the employer also owes certain obligations to me. At times, it
seems that some employers use internships as a way of evading their
obligations to employees.
