Variables in FrameMaker 5.5 (was RE: Frame 5.5 for Windows question/possible bug)
Subject:Variables in FrameMaker 5.5 (was RE: Frame 5.5 for Windows question/possible bug) From:Holly Turner <hturner -at- HARBINGER -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 31 Oct 1997 10:50:22 -0500
I asked Adobe Tech Support the same question. They said that you cannot
create new user variables that reference paragraphs. You can only
modify the Running Header/Footer variables. It's a pain because you are
limited to setting up 4 types of running paragraph references per
document. You do not, however, have to delete the spaces in your
paragraph tags to be able to use them in the reference code. I use
several paragraph tags that contain spaces, and they work just fine.
