I must be in the minority, by that statement.  My resume has included
"technical writer" for six years.  After a 13-year stint in the Navy, I got
out after Desert Storm with the intent of becoming a technical writer. Yes,
it was a career change, but it is one that I choose.

While the verbal dart above may have been slung in error [or terror], I'm
pleased to say I'm a technical writer.  I also make a mean pot of coffee
too. I have yet to "grow up."
