Several on the list have inquired about the ease/advisability of
learning programming to enhance their resume as TechWhirlers.

I have located a source for the Microsoft Visual Basic package complete
with a tutorial for only $50.

It's v 3.0 but the packages are unopened, complete with all
documentation and registration card. Upgradable? I'm checking now.

It's a cheap start for programming. Tilly and I are taking the tutorial
now and it's one of the best I've seen for non-programmers.
