TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I've changed assignments twice since the beginning of September (don't
ask).
I start another assignment (long term) this week (I'm going to manage
web contractors...bwahhaahhah!), but during the off time, I reworked my
personal web site ( http://www.tdandw.com ). Understand that it's in
it's infancy...I placed the new version over the weekend), so much of
the content isn't even up there yet
The subject of the web site will be a resource for tech writer
contractors, though I'm going to go out on a limb and will allow tech
writers to place good/bad comments about contractor agencies without
modification (there will be the usual disclaimers). Let's see if we can
be civil about this.
Anyway, the reason for the message. Part of the site will be to list
resources...yeah, yeah...I know...there's a million of them. However,
most of what I can see is based on what the webmaster wants to include.
This will be more responsive as I'd like to place what you guys want to
see. I want to see where it leads to.
So...take a look, let me know what should be added, I WANT SUGGESTONS. I
want links. I want guidance. I want comments. I want criticism. Let's
see where this goes, OK?
