Missing adjective: RELEVANT e-mail.
For the same reason people go to conferences and meetings, knowing that more
than likely they'll have to listen to a lot of dross to get a bit of gold.
There's a human, not entirely negative, tendancy to hold forth once a group
is gathered. So most meetings of people for most reasons tend to slide
off-topic or towards minutiae. [This has a LOT to do with why I'm glad I'm a
consultant.] But that doesn't mean we shouldn't fight that tendancy.
Especially when a list is as targeted as this one (not to mention that it's
made up of professional writers, who can fill a page manually faster than
most people can cut and paste.)
