Thank you to all those who sent me their workarounds to the printing
problem - or commiserations (from those who have the same problem but no
solution).

The general workaround is the one I have been using, or variations
thereof:

Tell the printer to print the last page of the previous section as well
as the required section. The only problem with this is that one wastes
a page every time one prints and if one has to print let's say 300
copies of an updated section, that's 300 wasted pages and the trouble of
having to extract that page from the printed material at the end.

Printing in reverse order does NOT seem to get around the problem.

I suggest that all those who wrote to me saying that they have the same
problem, send details of the problem to HP in HOLLAND (which is my local
area office). In that way, HP Holland will receive a number of
identical complaints at the same time and maybe acknowledge the fact
that there is a problem and do something about it.

Could you all please keep in touch with me so that if there is any good
news, we can share it.

T I A

Regards

Frank
