Paul,

I checked your source files and the reason for the formatting breakdown
was how the compiler interprets numbered lists and bullets. If it
doesn't see a tab at the hanging indent it assumes the default tab stop
should be used (every half inch in this case).

Your level one bullets and numbered lists just happened to have the
hanging indent on the default tab location so the absense of a tab stop
cause no formatting change.

However, your second level bullets and numbered lists had hanging
indents that didn't line up with the default tabs so the compiler moved
the text over to the default tab ruining your formatting.

Inserting tabs at the the hanging indents fixed the problem.
