Hello. I am a tech writing grad student and have been watching the list for
a couple of weeks as part of a class assignment. I'm not totally sure if
it's ok for me to ask, but...
If any of you wouldn't mind taking a minute to think about the following
three questions and sending a quick response, it would help with a paper I'm
writing about the state of the profession:
1. Your perspective on the development of the field (i.e. history, current
trends...)
2. Key issues facing the field at this time (I've gotten some ideas from the
discussion)
3. Your sense of the values, work, status and compensation associated with
being a technical writer (broad question - maybe pick one or two.)

Any response would be appreciated - either posted to the list or sent to me
directly at Julmart5 -at- aol -dot- com -dot- Again, I'm not sure it's ok to use the list
this way and I apologize if it's not. Thanks. Julius Martinez
