Subject:Frame pix into Word From:Jacqueline Fry <jfry -at- ARRAY -dot- CA> Date:Thu, 18 Sep 1997 09:21:05 -0400
Hi.
Now here's a weird/interesting problem, if I do say so myself (which I do
frequently).
I have been asked to save some diagrams created in FrameMaker (on my Unix
box) as RTF, so that they can be used in Word or WordPerfect documents on
someone's PC (Windows 95, I think). My original idea was to save the
diagrams in MIF format, then put them through a filter using the 'miftortf'
command in X-win on Unix to change them to RTF.
Another, more techy writer (I'm in Marketing) gave me this process, then
realized it wouldn't work. I then tried to scan the diagrams and import them
into Word and WordPerfect, but they looked ugly (quite an understatement).
So, my question is, is there a quick and painless (I'll take the pain only
if I have to) way to save these Frame diagrams as RTF so they can be used in
Word/WordPerfect, keeping in mind I would like to "transfer" the diagrams
from one platform to the other? Or, are there other solutions I haven't
thought of?
If you need more info/clarification, please let me know. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Jacqueline
