Can anyone provide me with some reference information concerning the design
of software and how onscreen language is used?

I am interested in how GUI design, readability, information flow, etc. can
improve a system's operation by communicating effectively with the user.

I think our industry is becoming more involved in that process and wanted to
review information concerning how design impact usability.

Thank you -
