Technical Communication, Tenure-track assistant professor to begin
Fall 1998, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Looking for a
specialist primarily in visual rhetoric and print production, with
additional expertise in several of the following other areas: online
communication, hypertext, Web design and development, research
methods, usability testing, writing for the computer industry,
human-computer interaction, and publications management. Teaching
experience required. Experience as a technical communicator desirable.
Ph.D. in a relevant field required. Research in technical
communication, as well as service, is expected. The standard course
load is 9 credits per semester. The Department of English offers a
B.A. and an M.A. in Technical Communication and two levels of
