Many of you who responded to my first post about managing single use
documents with multiple releases suggested that I use the effectivity
feature in Interleaf. Although I haven't used in myself, the "oldtimers"
in my department are adamant that the effectivity feature does not
consistently work well, and is very unwieldy.

Can any of you comment on your experience working with Interleaf's
effectivity feature?

We will be having a lot of hands in the soup, so to speak, so I need for
our strategy to be nearly foolproof. Is effectivity too fussy for
multiple users at with varying DTP skills to use without corrupting the
master document beyond repair?

Thanks.
