this is a common problem with 256-color displays. Video cards with this color
 resolution use so-called "palettes" where they define 256 different colors.
 These 256 colors are the same for the whole screen.

Your problem is that your screen-shots use more than 240 colors. Windows uses
 16 fixed colors so only 240 colors may be freely defined. Your video driver
 cannot satisfy the requests for all colors and does some "best-fit"
 substitutions.

If possible reduce the color count to 256 or less when you do your screen
 shots. Or reduce the color depth unsing the standard Windows palette in a
 program like Paintshop Pro.
